If youre ready for a double dose of cuteness in your life, then youll want to meet pups Hakuna and Matata.These sisters came into rescue together and are two peas in a pod.They are both just under 25 lbs and enjoy playing in the yard together (which is pretty fun to watch).When theyre not chasing each other around they love playing with toys! It must be some sort of sister thing that they both love de-fluffing plushy toys - so hard toys are best for both of them.They both love dogs and people and cuddling up for a dog pile, or in your lap for a little snooze and snuggle.Cats dont seem to be of interest to them and pretty much get ignored.They are settling into their foster home and can be a little skittish of loud noises. They are mostly house trained and use pee pads if you ignore their requests to be let outside (were working on that they are still puppies after all). They are also learning to walk on a leash.They both like to sleep on their blankies and wake up early to greet the morning for another day full of fun and new adventures.We would love if these sisters could find a home where they could stay together and remain BFFs throughout their life. If you think you can handle this much cuteness and fun in your life, submit an application to meet them and lets get them in their new forever home.Adoption processOur adoption process is three-fold: submit an application, meet the pet, then arrange for us to do your in-home interview. Adoption Fees:Kittens: $60, Cats (1 year plus): $50, Puppies: $250, Adult Canines (1 to 6 years): $200, Seniors (7 years plus): $100 (unless otherwise specified). Adoption fees are not a tax-deductible donation as allowed by IRS regulations. Adoption fees help to offset the cost of the pet's care incurred by Coastal Pet Rescue, which are generally 2 to 3 times the adoption fee amount.Some special circumstances may change the fee; see pet's listing for actual adoption fee. All Coastal Pet Rescue pets are current on shots, microchipped* and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adopters are responsible for any shots that may be due after adoption (particularly for kittens and puppies that must have three rounds of shots to be protected). Microchip:CPR has implanted a microchip as part of the adoption process and the chip is included in the adoption fee. However, some chip companies require a registration fee varying from $9.99 to $19.99. The registration fees are the responsibility of the adopter and are NOT included in the CPR adoption fee. Adopters may add this cost to their adoption fee to have CPR register the chip on their behalf. 30 Days Pet Insurance: As a Petfinder member, all adopters are entitled to a free 30 day insurance policy through PetFirst. Coastal Pet Rescue is not responsible for this policy. Adopters must call PetFirst’s toll-free number 855-710-XXXX to activate the coverage. If adopters fail to call, the policy will not be activated.Shelter locationOur pets all live in our homes, so adoption applications must be submitted for appointments to be made to see the pets. We also have them with us at our outdoor events, so view our "events" calendar on our website for those dates and locations.
