This sweet boy is ready to find a family to call his own. Prancer came to the rescue a broken boy after his owner who was his world passed away unexpectedly after a car accident. We were asked to take him into the rescue and we did - he was depressed and so so confused - the family allowed us to take Prancer to the funeral home to say good bye to his Dad and it helped this amazing boy tremendously. Here is what his foster Mom had to say about this boy: Prancer is a big,sweet, sensitive 3 yr old boxer boy who will be a blessing to his new family. He had a big change in his life when his owner passed away, so he is shy with new people and can take some time to warm up. He has been with me for three weeks and now is really coming out of his shell. He currently lives with two small dogs and a cat. He is good with other dogs but does have a little bit of curiosity about cats. My cat is used to dogs, so he generally sets down the ground rules! He is completely housebroken and has not had any accidents in my house. Prancer loves to go on walks outside. He does good on a leash, but when excited can pull a little and he is a boxer, so sometimes his excitement involves a little jumping! He listens and responds well and likes to be near where you are once you have earned his trust. I have not used a crate with him as I am home most of the time and he has been great. At night he sleeps on his bed, although he has discovered the couch is pretty comfy too! Prancer will do best in a home that understands his personality and background and gives him time to thoroughly adjust and become comfortable before exposure to a new situations and people. Allowing time for him to get to know and be completely comfortable with his new family first is really important. It will help him to adjust and settle into his new home. Once that connection is made, he will be your best friend!Prancer's adoption fee is $250.00 - he is neutered, has had a full bloodwork panel done, 4DX Heartworm test and is current on his monthly heartworm prevention and flea/tick prevention, microchipped and current on his vaccines.
