Hound lovers, rejoice! Ludwig is a 5 1/2 year old, 80 pound black and tan Coonhound. Lud is the total package. Big and handsome, friendly but independent. He's a crooner who will sing you a song and then snore on the couch. Ludwig likes kids and is house trained! Ludwig is currently with our friends at Heartland Humane Society in Yankton, and he's thinking he may prefer to be a Jackrabbit fan instead of a Yote! If you're seriously interested in meeting this hunk of hound, we can arrange transport to B-town! Contact Heartland Humane Society at at 605-664-XXXX to discuss Ludwig! Lud is selective with other dogs. He's a big ol' hound dog who is looking for a home without cats or small critters! Since many of our adoptable dogs are in foster homes, appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! Our adoption fees include the following: all of our dogs/puppies are current on vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, heartworm tested and current on preventative, microchipped, treated for fleas/ticks and are spayed or neutered. Our large dog adoption fee is generally $175 + tax. Our small dog and puppy adoption fee is generally $275+ tax. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Due to space limitations, we do not hold dogs. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all dogs leaving the shelter be in a carrier or on leash.
