Hello everyone! My name is Aslan, after the famous lion. He and I have a lot in common! When I arrived at Heartland, I was covered in mange with barely any fur. Just take a look at my glow-up! I'm still kind of learning how to be a dog -- a leash and collar used to be very painful, so I am still getting used to those. I love food, and I'm still a little overexcited to grab treats sometimes. I have met a few dogs here and I was interested, but since I wasn't sure about leashes yet, we didn't get to do a full meet & greet. I was still really interested in them! I may have some wonky joints that would need some extra care down the road, but we don't know for sure. I love playing with a flirt pole, and I love playing chase here with my friends on staff! I have come so far since I arrived here -- from a scared boy that was scared of people to a friendly dog that's eager to learn! I'm a sweet boy that has a lot to learn but I'm ready for an amazing journey. If you'd like to meet with me, give us a call or stop by and ask staff about me.
