Project ManagementA senior-level Mechanical/Plumbing Engineer with 5+years of experience and a firm understanding of MP&E Engineering as it relates to the Architecture & Construction industryA talented individual who is highly motivated, organized, and able to lead a team and tackle multiple projects simultaneously.RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare detailed Mechanical and Plumbing Engineering construction documents for small to large commercial projects (hotel & hospitality, retail, restaurant, medical, mid-rise, multifamily, institutional, industrial, parking garages, storage facilities, etc.) using AutoCAD and/or RevitPrepare detailed mechanical and plumbing CDs from conceptual designs to final product using AutoCAD and/or RevitPerform HVAC load calculations and systems design for building projectsPrepare plumbing isometric piping plansGenerate mechanical and plumbing specifications for construction documentsEnsure components and assemblies adhere to industry and business standardsAttend design & site meetings with builders, owners, and architectsSpecify building automation controls and generate control diagramsRespond to RFI’s and perform shop drawing reviewsPerform job site inspections when required for projectsWork with design staff and drafters to complete projectsDrive deadlines in a dynamic and fast-moving environmentSKILLS & REQUIREMENTS (MUST meet the following) Minimum 5+ years of experience in MP&E Engineering / Architecture / Construction industry with an emphasis in commercial building design AutoCAD is a MUST, Revit experience is a plus Strong computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.) HVAC Chilled & Heating Hydronic Water design including chiller and boiler plants, cooling towers and condenser water systems, and associated distribution piping systems Mechanical design experience with DX unitary heating and cooling systems, VRF systems, ventilation, and exhaust systems Air distribution ducting design for commercial building projects Variable Air Volume (VAV) systems design and controls Knowledge of and experience working with plumbing systemsAbility to coordinate with engineers, designers, and architects Ability to deliver under pressure with constant variations in priority and tasks Flexibility in hours as required to meet project deadlines BENEFITSCompetitive salaryMedical, dental, vision health benefit for employee and family members12 Paid Time Off per year6 Paid holidaysAnnual bonus awarded based on performancePowered by JazzHR
