The real unicorn everyone is looking for! Don't wait to give him a new pasture, he will not last!Mayhem's Hot Tamale (Topper)2005 Arabian/QH cross gelding. Very low maintenance for age as he did not start much of a riding career until 9. Sweetest guy in the barn. Has spent the last few years sharing duties between a pro's personal horse and rotating into a busy HJ school program. Enjoys a single partnership more. He has successfully competed BN mini trials, hunter paces, combined tests (at both starter/BN level), trips to the beach, pony club lessons/rallies, indoor and outdoor competitions, and many hours on trail in company as well as solo. When in more consistent work, he was easily schooling 2nd level moments. He is not flashy but if you prefer a workman-like attitude from your mount, you will be very happy. He is more whoa than go but has some occasional sass to keep it interesting. He does not rear or buck but can be looky with a timid or nervous rider.Easy, easy, easy in the barn. There is a reason he is the first one to teach new staff members! You can stable him next to anyone, mares or geldings. He has zero, and I mean ZERO stable vices. No weaving, kicking, pawing, cribbing, absolutely nothing. He will not destroy your stall even if left in for a week. He will nicker at feeding time and when he sees his humans. Cross ties, single ties, stands for the farrier, LOVES bath time, trim clips, body clips, double leading from the field, blanketing, walks onto and off of any trailers. Has seen a massage therapist and chiro in the past. All the things a mature, educated horse is expected to do. Currently wears 4 shoes while jumping and requires once yearly maintenance.Get yourself a hunk of many talents with years left to give. He has no signs of slowing down. He would be great for a good riding junior, small AA, or even a confident D3-C1 pony club kid (recommended by a regional USPC NE & CHMJ). He would like to keep his job on the easier side. He will not go up to novice. He is very happy at intro/starter and his flat work. I will disclose a full medical history to new owners. PPE welcome. I will include his custom dressage saddle with asking price (over $3000 in savings!) Located in Northeast Ohio. Negotiable to the right home. I can arrange hauling anywhere in Ohio and around the Northeast if necessary.
