Journeyman Communications Specialist This is a HYBRID REMOTE position. Provides junior level communications subject matter expertise to the MAA and MA Program Office. In this role you will…. Participate in the pre-assessment coordination, MAA onsite, report development and Mission Assurance protection program related request for information. Must have familiarity with Mission Assurance/communications applicable policy, standards, and benchmarks. Maintain applicable security clearance requirement. Provide technical support to the information technology program. Experience Requirements: Two (2) years or more of DoD experience in the communications field performing mission planning. Two (2) years or more desired experience in headquarters MA program reviews and installation level MA assessments. Familiarity with industry standards and pertinent federal policy, Marine Corps or Navy operations background, CISSP certification (or other DoD 8570 IAM Level 3 certification). Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Security, Information Technology, Technical. Security Clearance Requirements: Active TOP SECRET security clearance with the ability to attain SCI. Other Requirements: Required travel minimum 50% of the time May be required to move equipment/files weighing up to 50 pounds Reports to a physical location which occasionally requires the ability to traverse between buildings Ability to manage stress with a high degree of maturity/professionalism Demonstrated critical thinking and leadership skills and the ability to work well with others Effective verbal and written communication skills This position is contingent on funding.
