Trouble (tn) (updated), Rat Terrier For Adoption In Chattanooga, Tennessee

Price:
$300
Location:
Chattanooga, TN
Description:

Please read the entire bio for this rescue, it will provide all the information that one needs to decide if they would like to apply to adopt from SCMR.Adoption fee: $300.00 This is Trouble; named that because his foster Mom would be in trouble for bringing in another dog! Not sure about his breed...either a Chiweenie or a Rat Terrier mix. He is about 18 months old, fully vetted ; weight is 13#. Crate trained, uses a doggy door.He has been a little anxious/insecure and is currently attending an obedience class. Would probably do best in a quiet household, no cats. Good with older children. He is house trained, loves to go for walks and rides well in a car. He is being fostered in Chattanooga. Adoption Fee: $300.00 Out-of-state adoptions are possible; however, the approved adoptive home is responsible for making the necessary arrangements to pick up their new little one. To be considered to adopt me, please fill out an APPLICATION. NOTE: SCMR DOES NOT adopt to homes with children under the age of 10 years or homes with Electric Fences. You can help make a difference one dog at a time. If you would like to sponsor one of our babies, we accept online donations via PayPal or send a check to us at P.O. Box 2005, Chattanooga, TN 37409. We thank you for whatever you can help us with. Any donation is appreciated and is tax deductible, as allowed by law, as we are a qualified non-profit 501(c)3 organization. All our males are sent with BELLY BANDS! for a one time Donation that goes direct to SCMR please go to our paypal link: March 13, 2024, 9:42 amAdoption processTo be considered to adopt one of our babies, please fill out an APPLICATION. A PDF version of the application is also available for download. Adopting any animal takes a lot of commitment. We require an application, reference check, home visit, and adoption donations depending upon the age of the animal and the medical expenses. Each dog has had all vaccinations, been dewormed, heartworm tested (and treated if necessary), dental (if needed), spay/neuter, and any other medical attention he/she needs. The adoption fee helps recover a PORTION of the money spent on each rescued animal. We need COMPLETED applications; we cannot start the adoption approval process unless we have a fully completed application. If you do not supply complete information on your APPLICATION, we do not have time to track it all down. Vet contact information on your application is very important, please include it. PLEASE CAREFULLY READ THE BIO OF ANY DOG IN WHICH YOU ARE INTERESTED SINCE THERE MAY BE ADOPTION RESTRICTIONS. We do NOT adopt to homes with children under the age of 10 years or homes with Electric Fences. Homes with fenced yards are given preference to those without (all other things being equal). Please understand that this is a volunteer effort and we all work full time in addition to doing rescue. Any help in speeding up the adoption process is appreciated. We will get back to you as soon as possible. ** NOTE** We do NOT encourage giving pets as GIFTS. However, you may pay the adoption fee as a 'gift' for your special someone, but we will require an adoption application to be completed by the adopter (recipient of your 'gift'). Our dogs come to us from various sources including shelters. We do not always know the full history of the dog, some have come from abusive or neglectful situations. We will share as much information on the dogs as we can with 'approved prospective homes'. When an application is approved, the home check goes well, and all vet references and application information checks out, a signed and notarized contract is required to finalize the adoption process. MS Word and PDF versions of our Adoption Contract are available for download from our website, scmradoption.com.Shelter locationOur dogs are in wonderful foster homes, throughout the US, primarily in the southeast.. We are sorry, but there is no "shelter" available for you to visit. We are committed to finding the best home possible for each of our little ones, so that they don't end up in a similar situation down the road. Out of state adoptions are possible. The new owner is required to help with the transportation of the dog though, as we will not ship them. Additionally, all dogs requiring transportation must have a crate or seatbelt harness for their safety. FOSTER A PETCan't adopt? Consider being a FOSTER PARENT. All foster homes undergo the same screening that an adoptive home will. You must be committed to the potential lifetime care of the animals and be responsible for helping select and qualify their forever homes. IF YOU CAN FOSTER, please fill out a FOSTER APPLICATION.
