Solar Impact Inc. is searching for an experienced Solar Installer/Electrician to join our growing operations department. The person in this role is responsible for efficiently installing solar and electrical systems in accordance with the National Electrical Code. The ideal candidate for this position possesses the following traits: • 3-5 years of solar and electrical experience• Willing to participate in the Electrical Apprenticeship program• Hands-on expertise with NEC• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team• High attention to detail and attention to the process• Working knowledge of digital devices and programs• Strong work ethic and ambition to succeed Solar Impact is proud to sponsor employees in the Santa Fe College Electrical Apprenticeship program. Responsibilities:• Embrace Solar Impact Core Values in all aspects of work• Adhere to Solar Impact processes and continuously seek opportunities for improvement• Install electrical equipment following the guidelines of the NEC• Demonstrate proficiency in bending conduit • Collaborate with a team to complete all tasks related to solar installations, such as job preparation, roof layout, racking, attachment, and system monitoring• Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with customers and team members• Ensure a safe work environment by strictly following Solar Impact and OSHA safety protocols• Keep tools and parts organized within the installation vehicle• Safely operate and maintain company vehicles and equipment• Engage in the Electrical Apprenticeship program• Participate in safety and solar installation training, both online and in-person• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth and efficient project progress• Evaluate completed projects to identify areas for enhancing efficiency• Meet attendance and punctuality requirements set by Solar Impact• Willingly work overtime, nights, and weekends when necessary to meet project demands• Travel and work out of town as needed Qualifications:• 3 to 5 years of prior electrical experience and/or participation in the Electrical Apprentice program• High School Diploma or GED• Ability to work at great heights• Capable of prolonged periods kneeling, bending, crouching, and climbing ladders• Able to work on feet for 10-hour periods• Able to lift at least 75 pounds at a time• Able to wear PPE in the performance of some duties (e.g., harnesses, hard hats, gloves, masks, ear protection, etc.)• Able to work in extreme hot/cold temperature conditions• Available to work overtime and weekends as required• Valid driver's license and insurability required• Able to attend classes at night• Must perform work in a safe manner resulting in no accidents Compensation: $17 - $22 per hourly DOE About Company: Solar Impact, Inc. is a licensed electrical and solar installation contractor in North Central Florida with a seasoned team of solar professionals.
