Buddy is a smart boy who already knows `sit` and `paw` and takes treats gently. He`s a ladies guy and bonds quickly with women but is shy with men. He is affectionate and will even ask for belly rubs. Buddy also has an independent side and enjoys checking out his surroundings on his own. Buddy is very intelligent and is likely house-trained, waiting to go outside to relieve himself. He is 60 lbs and walks well on leash. He has great manners in the car and rides nicely in the back floor boards. Buddy has more fur than he needs for a hot New Mexico summer and is very patient with being brushed. He asks that his walks be done early or very late in the day if it`s hot out since his thick black fur is a heat magnet!If you currently have another dog Buddy would like to meet them prior to adoption to make sure they will be compatible.Go ahead and ask to meet Buddy out of his kennel and see if he`ll give you his `paw` of approval!!
