Meet Mona. Mona is a sweet, gentle senior shepherd who was rescued from the Contra Costa County Shelter. The Shelter believed that Mona had a huge,cancerous tumor that was beyond their resources to remove. Abbey Vet examined Mona and determined that she did not have a cancerous tumor at all. Instead, she was diagnosed with a massive mammary infection, probably due to nursing a recent litter of puppies. Mona learned leash skills and is potty trained. She loves cuddling and spending time with kids.She does fine with medium and large size dogs but not so much small ones. The perfect home for Mona would be with a family that likes to take leisurely walks around the neighborhood and spend time at home on the couch watching TV and/or movies. Mona is spayed, UTD on vaccines and microchipped. Applications are being at www.jellysplace.org and qualified applicants will be contacted.
