VP of Operations - Distribution

We are working with an international CPG company seeking a VP of Operations in their Montgomeryville, PA area distribution center. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, strategic vision, and a deep understanding of warehouse management processes. The VP of Operations will be responsible for optimizing productivity, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality throughout the facility, including the implementation of ERP and WMS systems.Responsibilities:Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction, including the implementation of ERP and WMS systems.Lead and motivate a diverse team of warehouse supervisors, managers, and staff to achieve operational excellence and meet performance targets.Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation to streamline workflows and increase productivity, leveraging ERP and WMS systems.Oversee inventory control procedures to ensure accurate stock levels, minimize shrinkage, and prevent stockouts.Implement and maintain rigorous quality control standards to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with regulatory requirements.Enforce safety protocols and regulations to create a safe working environment for all employees and visitors.Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to optimize procurement processes and ensure timely delivery of goods.Develop and manage the departmental budget, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or service levels.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous performance enhancement.Collaborate with other departments such as logistics, transportation, and customer service to coordinate activities and optimize overall supply chain performance.Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing warehouse operations.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.Minimum of 7 years of experience in warehouse management or distribution center operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale distribution center operations and leading cross-functional teams.Experience with ERP and WMS systems implementation and optimization.Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data-driven insights to inform decision-making and drive process improvement.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Demonstrated proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software applications.Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in warehouse operations, safety, and quality management.
