Adopt Chief Crawford a Black Collie dog in Provo, UT (38401593)

Location:
Provo, UT
Description:

Dog friendly, strikingly handsome, loves toys, awesome jogging partner, absolutely loves people and companionship, and super smart! That’s Chief!Video: https://youtu.be/EUDy85iF7lMHe turns heads walking in the neighborhood because he is so handsome. He is adventurous, curious, outgoing, social, loves to get out and explore with you. His foster dad has been taking him on jogs. He is doing really well with crate training at his foster home.He loves to pick up balls and toys and throw them around, or lay on his dog bed with a bone. His foster dad says the cutest thing about him is how excited he gets when you come into the room. Chief absolutely adores people. The kids in the foster home love him and he loves spending time with him. He absolutely adores humans and acts grateful to be saved. He’s in excellent physical condition according to our doctors. Chief would do best in a home with another dog to play with, or someone who will get him out for play time and exercise and socialization with other dogs so that he gets adequate exercise. Chief would do well in a home with a female dog with moderate energy to play with or an already established pack with a dominant male. He lives in a foster home with 2 other large dogs.No cats please, he’s too interested. He’s very smart- learns new routines and tricks quickly! Chief is a 2 year old Collie mix weighing about 68 lbs. Chief is a very loyal dog and attaches to people quickly. He would benefit being in a home with someone who has had a dog before or someone willing to put in the work as a first dog, so that they can help continue his training. He currently lives in a home with teenage kids as well as an 3 year old and does well with them. He would love to be someone’s hiking partner or a dog that learns to do agility with their new person! The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! Three Little Pitties Rescue will soon be celebrating our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 10,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes.
