Shucks – Commis Chef – Variable Hours Shucks is a seafood restaurant set in the beautiful West End neighbourhood of Hyndland. The cuisine on offer focuses on the best produce from Scottish waters and beyond, with an eclectic influence on menu design and a focus placed on cooking whole fish and shellfish over fire. The drinks offering is a key focus, with a large bar being a great place to grab a pre-or post-dinner drink. The venue has the most varied drink offerings throughout our collection of restaurants, with a wide array of birdtails, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic drinks, with its own drinks trolley ready to welcome guests in the dining room. Our largest venue in the group, it's a perfect location for larger parties, families and gatherings of friends. Shucks is recommended in the Michelin Guide and the Good Food Guide. About the Role At Shucks, our main mission is to bring great experiences to all of our customers and we are looking for people who are just as passionate about doing this as we are! As a Commis Chef, you’ll assist in a section of the kitchen, contributing to the goal of delivering the best food possible to our customers. You’ll be led by an experienced Head Chef alongside a team of passionate and confident individuals, working to ensure that all food is prepared and presented to a high standard at all times. We are looking for someone who: Has a genuine passion for great food with experience working in a high quality, fast-paced kitchen Ideally has a professional cookery qualification (however this is not essential) Takes their role seriously and can communicate effectively with the team. An honest and hardworking team player who can be flexible and adaptable.
