Layla has been our best friend for 8 years. She has never lost that puppy exuberance when she gets excited and people still ask “Is she a puppy?” We have had so much fun training her to great success. She knows roughly 50 commands and typically understands whatever we ask of her.Layla enjoys being around other dogs, but introducing them requires a gradual process . She has lived happily with our little dog Bruce (15lbs) and two other family dogs (big and teacup) for extended periods without incident. She is very athletic so play can be too if the other dog is up for it (she likes to be the chaser rather than the chase-e). While she has never bitten anyone, she has growled, borne her teeth, and snapped at us when we have violated her space. We now have a toddler in the house and a potential second child on the way. We do not feel that we can guarantee that Layla will have all the space she needs in our home anymore.
