Meet Cedrick! This hilarious, handsome boy was having a hard time adjusting to a shelter environment so he made his way to MP's foster-based rescue to find his second chance at life! Cedrick has been with his foster only a few days but he's already making himself right at home. His foster says that he is totally potty trained and can't get enough of humans -- he loves them! Right now, Cedrick uses his kennel but experiences some anxiety when left alone (kenneled or free roaming); however, his past is still fresh and we think that once he understands that, from here on out, his people will always return he'll will work through this nervousness. Cedrick is a bed hog, there's no tiptoeing around it! He loves sleeping horizontally across a big bed and likes to make sure one paw is always touching his human. Cedrick will be working on his leash manners, his anxiety about being alone, and will start on dog introductions here soon. We'll continue to share updates as this big boy settles in! The suggested adoption donation for Cedrick is $315. Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization which means that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2020 alone, we were able to provide animal Healthcare costing over $241,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. If this pet is not spayed or neutered at the time of adoption due to limited vetting availability , a voucher will be given to the adopter to take the pet to be altered at NHS free of charge. Alterations are REQUIRED for all Muddy Paws adoptions. The contract states the alter must be done within ONE month of the adoption date or the adopter will be in breach of contract. Adopters are required to provide proof of alter to Muddy Paws Rescue immediately after the procedure is complete. Thank you in advance for your compliance. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.
