Merida (A133644) is a 7-month-old AK Husky who weighed 29.5 pounds on intake! 02/22/24 Merida is a sweet pup that came to us as a stray and is now looking for a new place to call home! Merida has made the staff fall in love with her at the shelter and we are sure she will win her new people over in no time! She is polite when greeting new friends and loves to soak in all the attention. We do not know if she has any training under her belt, but she is young and eager to learn! We encourage her owner to bring her to a basic obedience class with a certified trainer to teach her a thing or two! Merida has done a good job keeping her kennel clean, indicating that she may be housebroken. However, keep in mind it is common to need a reminder or two as she settles into a new routine in a new home! Merida is looking for the perfect person who can mentally and physically stimulate her! She is an active breed who is looking to live her best life! Merida has been known to talk to her care staff, especially when she is outside. But who doesnât love a little husky talk! We do not know if Merida has any history with children or other animals. Please ensure you are doing appropriate introductions with all new friends!
