Unitil offers competitive salaries, a consumer-driven health plan, dental and vision coverage, flexible work, company-paid holidays, a, robust, highly competitive retirement plan and educational assistance.*Note: Benefit offerings may differ between union and non-union employee groups Position Purpose Manage and coordinate the implementation of Unitil's energy efficiency programs in a manner consistent with regulatory requirements in New Hampshire and Massachusetts and in conformance with budgetary guidelines, ensuring effective delivery of programs throughout the Unitil service territories. Principal Accountabilities 70% Implement energy efficiency program * Manage overall program budget, ensuring revenue targets are hit, accurate forecasts are provided, and invoicing is timely and accurate* Consult with commercial and industrial customers, addressing the effective and efficient utilization of energy * Interview and select appropriate energy service companies, prepare and issue RFPs, evaluate bids, and arrange contracts* Establish Unitil as a strategic energy partner with commercial and industrial customers * Manage work activities of all engaged consulting firms and contractors, to ensure customer satisfaction and conformance with established guidelines* Provide technical support as required and arrange for the implementation of projects, monitor the long-term effectiveness of completed work, and prepare documentation and payment of company incentives within regulatory and budgetary guidelines20% Collaborate with other departments and teams* Represent Unitil on statewide subcommittees that develop energy efficiency initiatives and incentive offerings * Monitor and report on program implementation for saturation, goals, delivery costs, and incentive plans * Assist in the preparation of technical potential studies, compliance filings, and other filings before state regulatory agencies* Periodically report results/status of programs and budgets to department management5% Support operations during storm restoration efforts and other system emergencies including; on-call duties to staff local EOCs, outage coordination and support for customer service as needed5% Other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline is strongly preferred. However, candidates with degrees in other fields coupled with strong experience in project management will also be considered. 7 - 10 years of experience in engineering, project management, utility construction, or equivalent relevant experience.
