Meet Thor! Thor is about 1 1/2 years old. Thor is a shy boy but does love affection on his terms. He would be best suited for a patient home that will let him warm up. If you would like to make Thor a part of your family, fill out an application at www.barktownrescue.org THOR'S ADOPTION FEE IS $50. The shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at the dog's predominant breed or breed mix. We strongly encourage you to select your new pet by looking at each dog's individual personality and pet qualities rather than relying on a breed label that is only our best guess. Our adoption fees vary from $150 and up. All of our dogs are up to date on vaccines, heart worm preventives, and flea/tick medication, and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Portions of your adoption fee also help care for the sick and injured animals that we take in. Thank you for supporting us and considering a rescue dog! Once this is approved, we can set the applicant up with the foster to meet the dog. If the person decides to adopt at that point, we do have a contract that needs to be signed. ** Please note, it may take 2-3 business days for your application to be processed.
