Adoption processAn adoption application must be completed. Upon doing an initial screening of your application, a BBR volunteer will be in contact with you through the e-mail address that you provide on the application. After the initial screening is completed, a vet reference will be checked (provided the applicant has had pets in the past). The last step is a home visit, usually done by a BBR volunteer. Upon adoption/transfer, an adoption contract will be signed. Adoption fees vary.Shelter locationBama Bully Rescue is a volunteer-run organization with members located all across the state of Alabama. We do not have one central location or a kennel. The dogs listed on our site are kept in foster homes, however some of our urgent dogs are stuck in shelters in Alabama. We work with many different Alabama shelters to try and give these dogs a chance at finding a home instead of automatically facing the euthanasia table.
