Sunshine is about 7 years old and came to us after his person passed away. He is a sweet boy but can be temperamental and feisty at times if he doesn't like what's going on. He hates carriers or being confined and is looking for an adults-only home where he can enjoy his freedom. He is used to living as the only pet. He enjoys being around people, being brushed, and getting head and cheek scratches, but shouldn't be expected to be a lap cat or to tolerate being picked up repeatedly. Cat-savvy people would be best so they can read his mood. Sunshine really is a great cat - he's just looking for a home that will appreciate him and treated him like a king! Our adoption application can be found here: http://secondchancear.org/home/meet_our_cats All of our cats are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, de-wormed, tested for FeLV/FIV, and treated for fleas before adoption.Adoption processAt this time, due to both COVID-19 and a limited ability to staff the shelter, we are not open for "normal" visiting hours and are doing adoptions and meet-and-greets by appointment only to those with approved applications on file. Please note that per the state of NH, in order to adopt cats/kittens to people out-of-state, the cat/kitten must have a health certificate signed by a licensed veterinarian (after an exam) prior to adoption. This means that anyone living outside of NH will not be able to do a same-day adoption, as once they meet and choose a cat, we will have to make a vet appointment to have them seen for their certificate (we do not have a veterinarian on staff).Shelter locationWe are located at 1517 Meadow Street in Littleton, just a minute past Lowe's heading toward Lisbon
