Leela (born 7/4/2019) is a beautiful gray cat with green eyes – which is how you would describe a Russian Blue cat. Just like a Russian blue, Leela is a sweet-tempered, loyal cat who will follow you everywhere, so don't be surprised if she greets you at the front door! Though she is sweet and will love you, she does not like other cats and will want to be your one and only. Leela enjoys looking out of the window and scratching on her scratch pad. Leela is a very social kitty, but she also enjoys alone time and will actively seek a quiet, private nook to take a nap. We really appreciate that you want to give a shelter animal a home. The Humane Society of New York was founded in 1904. The Vladimir Horowitz/Wanda Toscanini Horowitz Adoption Center is a no-kill shelter. Our on-site clinic and staff of skilled Veterinarians looks after the health and well-being of every animal here. We also have a great adoption matchmaking team who will gladly take your profile and match you or your pet with just the right cat or dog companion.
