Dale is about twelve years old, and forty-eight pounds. He is a wonderful goofy character! Dale was near death when we rescued him and was skin and bones. He looked like he had given up and was on his way out. A week into fostering and he popped back, playful, enjoying food and toys and especially cuddling! He is great with other dogs and fantastic with people. His foster writes: 'Dale is so loving. I rub his head and give him kisses and he literally melts into my hands. He's such a good boy! He is going to make a great dog for someone ' Dale loves his milk bones and playing with his toy bone (see hilarious video). Dale is healthy and fully vetted. Dale has some visual impairment due to a detached retina and, we had some of his teeth pulled that caused him pain, so he prefers high-quality moist food. Dale is a playful soulful boy, one of our favorites. Many years ahead for this boy snatched from the jaws of death! Apply at crisisdogsnc.org. We reply only to completed applications, no calls. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We prefer a fenced yard, but this is not required for all of our dogs.
