Summer is a 18 yr old spotted saddle horse with champagne eyes looking for her new forever home. She stands about 14 hands and has just completed 30 days with a professional trainer for a tune up. Summer is gaited but can trot and canter as well with someone who knows what they are asking.She is a dream in the saddle and will go wherever you point her head. She knows how to neck and direct rein and has great brakes in both a halter and a bit. She is however a little buddy sour and will need someone who has some experience on the ground if she is taken away from her friends to be groomed and tacked. Once you are on her she likes to look for her buddy but will do what you want under saddle. If you plan to never take her away from her best friend she has great ground manners and will stand to be groomed and tacked.She would do best being worked consistently by someone who is firm and means business on the ground but can be a novice under saddle. Summer self-loads in the trailer and stands like a champ for the farrier. She will require a special living situation when the spring grass comes in as she possibly has some metabolic issues. She does well and holds weight on hay. Trail rides barefoot. She is a great little mare and would love to find a home where she will be used to her full potential. Videos are available upon request.
