Description:

Labrottie Dog for Adoption in Bristol, Connecticut, 06011 USNickname: Clancy Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Rottweiler / Mixed (short coat). Meet Clancy!! This handsome big guy came into the shelter as a stray. His family never came back looking for him. Sadly this happens more often than none. Fetching Hearts Rescue took on this goober. Clancy is looking for an active family. He is very loving and must be part of a family who wants a best friend and companion. Clancy will need a fenced in backyard where he can run around and get his energy out daily. We also recommend him going to daycare or having someone take him for hikes/runs. Clancy loves playtime with his humans and also dog friends who can play at his his speed. If his family joins him in the activities, he could easily be an only dog too. Clancy loves his toys, bam-bam bones and marrow bones. We recommend that he does not have anything with stuffing in it lol as he will enjoy tearing that apart. He has never chewed anything at his fosters that he wasn't supposed to but with his toys he will. Clancy does know some commands like sit and will give pas sometimes. He is working on his least training as well. He would do very well and basic obedience classes to learn some more commands and to work more on his leash training. He's a very smart boy so we believe that he will definitely be a very good learner in class. Clancy also is very caring when it comes to his humans. He was walking with his foster when she tripped on a stick in the woods and instead of him taking off he actually sat and laid down with her until she got up. He's very sensitive when it comes to making sure his humans are okay. Clancy has a heart of gold. Even though he's a big goober. He might have a lot of energy and an exuberant personality, but we promise you that you will fall in love with this boy when you meet him. If you would like to have Clancy join your home forever.
