Bring your passion for investing, client service, or operations to grow with Apogem.Apogem Capital is hiring an experienced Vice President of Strategy to support the execution of its business growth strategy and integration initiatives. This position will report to the Head of Strategy. In this role you will be providing support to Apogem's Senior Leadership Team to help define business strategy and support the execution of strategic initiatives, business planning, and project management across private equity and private credit businesses. This position requires experience in asset management with exposure to technology, operations and AI/data strategies within the alternatives investment sector, a strategic mindset, financial modeling capabilities and the ability to work collaboratively across business functions. This role will include the following responsibilties: Strategy Development: Understand the business direction, its needs, and help develop pragmatic solutions / roadmaps; Perform business impact assessments, develop financial models for cost benefit analysis and design recommendations Analyze market insights in the alternatives investment sector and competitor information to identify trends, product gaps and opportunities for growth Develop and maintain perspective on strategic implications of key developments in the industry - new products, competitor actions, regulatory changes etc. Strategy Execution: Work with Apogem's front, middle and back-office leaders to execute selected cross-functional strategic initiatives (e.g., GTM strategy design for a new private credit product offering, fund administrator selection and target operating model design, investment and client data centralization strategy) Assist with developing, managing, and tracking of delivery milestones / key metrics for integration projects and communicate risks for senior leadership consideration Manage and plan business activities and resources required to deliver strategic solutions, including defining business requirements and ensuring key stakeholders are managing cross-functional dependencies, timelines, and execution milestones Strategy Communication: Assist with articulation of Apogem's strategy and ensure all business growth and integration initiatives are appropriately communicated across the firm and NYLIM Coordinate and prepare presentations for town hall meetings, Board meetings, senior management, external parties, etc. An ideal candidate will demonstrate: Intellectual curiosity, self-awareness, and the willingness to learn and hit the ground running Self-starter, independent thinker and pro-active with a keen sense of ownership and commitment to the work, and a passion to deliver results Ability to play different roles depending on the project requirement; Leader, coach, and individual contributor as needed Team player that can accept substantial individual responsibility and proactively create value for the team and others Passionate about exploring and understanding financial markets and the alternatives investment management industry A desire to work in a high-energy environment with a dedicated commitment to excellence and teamwork Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred with a strong record of academic achievement Minimum of 5-6 years of overall experience, 3+ years in top-tier asset management, management consulting and/or investment banking firm Good understanding of the asset management industry, products, regulatory guidelines, and headwinds impacting the alternatives investment sector Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; strategic and creative thinking aptitude Attention to detail and strong project management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously with consistent follow-through Comfort dealing with ambiguity in a dynamic and fast-moving work environment with tight deadlines and multiple demands Ability to clearly articulate ideas, both written and oral, to internal and external audiences across various levels of seniority Requires strong leadership and communication skills, with an ability to partner effectively across multiple functions and levels of management Personally, and professionally aligned with Apogem's culture and values, and a strong interest in asset management industry Advanced user of PowerPoint, Excel, and Word and skilled at financial modeling / data analytics to develop CBAs, cost-to-achieve / cost-to-operate models, business reports and presentations Willing to travel 10-15% of time #LI-AM1 Salary range: $170,000 - $190,000 Overtime eligible: Exempt Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes Sales bonus eligible: NoClick here to learn more about our benefits .
