I am heartworm negative, spayed, and up to date on all my vaccinations! So about me…I am little skittish around new people. It will take me a little time for me to get comfortable with you and my new family. If you’re looking for a dog that’s all over you with cuddles and kisses right off the bat, I’m probably not a good fit for you. But if you don’t mind giving me a little space, time, and kindness, I promise I will come around to wanting to be your friend! My foster mom has been so fabulous. She knows I need time and has been letting me set things at my own pace. I love to follow her everywhere now! Want to make sure you never go to the bathroom alone again? I’m your girl. I will gladly stand guard while you shower! Any strange noise outside? I will let you know ASAP. When my foster mom sits down, I am the most comfortable. I will come to her for pets and will let her pick me up so I can have some lap cuddles! We both enjoy that! One time I even fell asleep in her lap! My foster mom says I have made HUGE progress from where I started when she received me. For the first few days, I wouldn’t even let her near me. I’m starting to realize humans aren’t all that bad. I think I even want one of my own! At night, my foster mom puts a cover over a crate, and I sleep quietly all night. It makes me feel very safe and secure! I’m sure one day I would love to sleep with my human though! I am still working on my house training, but I am pee pad trained! I love other dogs my size and maybe having another dog buddy would help me adjust even faster. It is unknown how I am with cats but it can be tested before adoption if needed. I would do best in a home without small children. I am quite skittish and children really scare me. I don't shed which is a huge plus! But, I will need an owner that is comfortable taking me to a groomer to keep my coat looking fabulous. Or better yet, an owner that doesn't mind doing the grooming themselves! I'd probably be way more comfortable with that! I just know I want love so badly, and I am hoping someone out there will give me the time and patience I need to discover what forever love is like!
