Summary The position is a Registered Nurse. Works at an ambulatory health care center as part of a team with physicians and other healthcare specialists. Position reports to the Supervisory Nurse or designee.We are accepting applications year-round with eligible applicants being placed on a standing register and referred for consideration as vacancies occur with referral at multiple grade levels and locations. Duties Assess patient care needs through analysis of data gained through interviews, review of health record, patients response and consultation with physician and other staff members. Plan and implement nursing care plan by providing or directing comprehensive nursing care based on assessment of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs of patients. Administer therapeutic measures as prescribed by the physician. Basic Requirements for the GS-7 (or equivalent) Grade Level : In addition to the above Basic Requirements, applicants must meet one of the following requirements: Possession of a bachelor's degree in Nursing and eligibility under the Superior Academic Achievement provision; or Possession of a bachelor's degree in Nursing and at least one full year of professional nursing experience (equivalent to the GS-5 grade level); Examples of experience include: work experience that uses knowledge gained as a registered nurse to give professional nursing care to patients, reviewing medical records and administering medication in accordance with instructions, and assisting physicians with procedures; or Possession of a diploma or associate degree in professional nursing and two full years of professional nursing experience Examples of experience include: work experience that uses knowledge gained as a registered nurse to give professional nursing care to patients, reviewing medical records and administering medication in accordance with instructions, and assisting physicians with procedures; or Completion of at least one full year of graduate education in a professional nursing educational program. Basic Requirements for the GS-9 (or equivalent) Grade Level : In addition to the above requirements, applicants must meet one of the following requirements: Possession of a master's degree in professional nursing; or Possession of at least one full year of professional nursing experience (equivalent to the GS-7 grade level or above) and possession of a diploma, associate degree, or bachelor's degree in Nursing from a professional nursing program.
