Are those emeralds? Are they jades? Nope, those are Cheer Up Charlie's beautiful, big green eyes peering at you! Cheer Up Charlie is independent, but he also loves to be around people. Similarly, he will not sleep on you, but he will always sleep nearby. So, you will have a great view of those big green eyes nearly all the time! Cheer Up Charlie is a natural leader. He loves to pretend he is hunting when he plays with his toys, especially his tiny mouse toys. He will carefully stalk the toy before his famous pounce! You will also get to hear the most adorable growl while he hunts down his toys. In addition to toys, Cheer Up Charlie loves climbing up to tall perches and playing with his brother, Oil Can Harry. Cheer Up Charlie can take playtime a bit too far currently, but with the occasional correction, he will learn how to play nicely. Cheer Up Charlie has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Cheer Up Charlie can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.
