Are you a successful and knowledgeable personal injury attorney looking to work alongside an established team of high-performing professionals? If so, we'd like to connect. Our firm is looking for an applicant who can manage case files from start to finish and help our clients find justice and compensation for their injuries. We need someone with excellent credentials, a real passion for helping people, and a minimum of 3 years of successful personal injury litigation and trial case experience. Responsibilities: --- Serve as legal counsel on the clients' behalf at hearings, mediations, trials, depositions, and litigation --- Negotiate suitable agreements and settle on the clients' behalf when appropriate --- Manage a team of personal injury paralegals, legal assistants, case managers, litigation paralegals, and legal secretary --- Record and update the status of all case files in the case management system --- Assess potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients accordingly Qualifications: --- State Bar Association membership and state license to practice law is mandatory --- Knowledge of personal injury law/ tort law, medical terminology, wrongful death, civil and family law, and medical malpractice is vital --- Superior research, negotiation, drafting, and communication skills are highly valued --- Bachelor's degree and a J.D. degree is required --- Proficiency in computers is vital --- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school --- Admission to the bar in Colorado --- Proven experience in pre-litigation procedures and case management --- Strong negotiation and communication skills --- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities --- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team --- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills --- Must be willing and able to commute to our office in Lakewood, Colorado --- The ability to speak Spanish is a plus, but not a requirement About Company: The Matos Law Firm is a dynamic and forward-thinking law firm dedicated to providing exceptional legal services.
