Hello Kitty13" Stereo Color TV & DVD Combo CRT MonitorThis listing is for a 2003 Hello Kitty KT2313 stereo color 13" CRT TV & DVD player. This rare CRT is absolutely covered in Hello Kitty goodness. From the chassis which is covered in Hello Kitty decals to the on screen display which has themed icons when changing the volume, changing channels, accessing the setup menu....or even tuning to a TV channel that gets no reception (which are all channels since this TV can only receive analog TV stations.The CRT TURNS ON AND WORKS GREAT EXCEPT FOR THE DVD PLAYER. This CRT turns on with a bright, clear picture. Geometry is quite good. All the buttons are responsive. I did seem to notice some slight burn-in on the screen when it is off. I can not see it at all when the monitor is on. Video worked well through the rear AV inputs. On the other hand, while the monitor is able to boot into the DVD player, it can not open or close the DVD tray, rendering it useless. Perhaps it is as simple as a rubber belt that needs replacement. I also hear plastic pieces rattling inside the unit and I wonder if they are from the DVD player... Expect to need to open the unit up to repair the DVD player. Please see the pictures to see the unit turned on and outputting a geometry grid from a connected game system via composite! In addition, you can see the "no signal" screen and the DVD loading screen!The monitor is in OK CONDITION. While the monitor is in quite presentable condition from a distance and the tube has no visual issues, the chassis has numerous visual issues. One of the main things is that the entire body has faded from pink to orange. Luckily, this doesn't affect the front bezel at all. There are also numerous nicks, scratches all over. One nick cuts touches the large decal of Hello Kitty above the CRT on the front bezel. There is another bit of damage on the left lower front bezel (next to the left speaker). Furthermore, there is some glue residue and missing paint on the bezel immediately surrounding the CRT. Finally, there is the usual dirt and dust in crevices. Please see the pictures to see the condition of the unit for yourself!You will also receive the original Hello Kitty-themed remote with this listing. It is also quite faded and has a small crack on the snap of the (screwed-down) battery cover, but it is in fine functional condition.SHIPPING NOTE: This is a heavy glass set with a plastic chassis and sensitive motorized parts. As a result, it will be packaged very well cardboard box if shipped. Tracking, insurance, and signature confirmation is also included for peace of mind. I have shipped a number of CRT TVs & monitors and never received complaints, but shipping is very expensive as a result.
