My name is Milly Express, but you call me Milly for short. I’m a beautiful one year old spayed female Great Pyrenees x St. Bernard mix, although my foster mom tells me she sees a lot of collie in my face, size, and behavior. My coat is the object of envy for many and is so so soft. I currently weigh 45lbs and am likely nearly fully grown, estimated to be in the 50-55lbs range. My foster mom tells me that I win the #1 spot in the “Sweetest Dog” department and that I’m as perfect as perfect gets. Here are some other things you should know about me: -I am potty trained. -I am crate trained and hang out in there quietly during the work day for 8-9 hours while my foster mom is at the office. She watches me on the pup cam and has dozens of screenshots of me sleeping in various funny positions. I also sleep in my crate quietly all night and stay quiet until my foster family wakes up, even when they sleep in! -I get along superbly with other dogs and read their cues like a pro. I’m quite submissive and am gentle when playing. I even respect my grumpy foster sister’s space! -I’m quickly learning basic commands such as sit, lay down, etc. and not jumping up on people when I’m excited to see them. I’m brilliant and learning manners has been a breeze! -I love my people so much! I want to be where they are and will be the most loyal sidekick. -I ride well in the car. -I walk great on a leash, although still get distracted by exciting new sights and sounds. I’d love to continue to get exposure to the world! -I do well with outdoor cats and seem to have a low prey drive. I could live with dog savvy indoor cats if my adopters are committed to managing our interactions in the beginning. -I’m generally quiet in the house, but sometimes let out a bark when I see people walk by. I respond well to a firm “no.” Truly, all I want is to please my people and I take correction so well! -Good with sturdy children over 14. I am true to my breeds and will need my forever family to set and enforce boundaries to ensure that I grow up to be the best me I can be. I’m smart and trainable, as well as eager to learn and please — a winning combo! I love being outside and would make the best hiking companion, but am also big on post hike cuddles and Netflix!
