A GREAT LITTLE COMPANION: Approx. 9 years /Approx. 15 lbs. and needs to gain weight Hi there, I'm Tanner, and I’m so happy to be with Mostly Mutts as things didn’t work out in my previous home, due to no fault of my own. I’m quite underweight but my wonderful foster mom is helping me gain weight now. The Mostly Mutts veterinarian also discovered that I have a heart murmur, so I’m on medication for that now (see medical below). • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I like the two dogs in my foster home, but I’m not really interested in playing with them yet. So, if you have a dog at home already, let’s meet. / I haven't met cats in my foster home, so if you have a cat, let’s meet and see how we do together. / I haven't met kids in my foster home, but I am sensitive to certain parts of my body being touched, so older kids who can read dog body language would be best. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I am such a sweetie. When my foster mom first met me, I gently put my front paws on her leg and stared soulfully right into her eyes. I like to put my paws on people to see what they are doing, but it has always been gently. I am a sensitive, soulful dog who wants to form a deep relationship with my people. Wherever you go, I will go. If you are making food in the kitchen, that's where I want to be. If you want to sit on the couch, I want to sit on the couch too. I love to squeeze myself in right next to you and curl up beside you. / My energy level is currently 4 - 5. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I know the sit command and I am food motivated, so I’m sure I can learn lots more. / I have been such a good boy that I haven't needed the crate. I would prefer not to use it, but I will go in it if I must. I have been fine free-roaming in my foster home or left in a separate bedroom because I have not been destructive in the home. / I have had good potty manners in my foster home. • LIKES/DISLIKES: My favorite thing is hanging out with my people, followed closely by peanut butter and turkey! I also like squeaky toys, chewing on bones, going for walks, and sniffing and prancing around the yard while smelling all the good smells. I love being petted right on my head and will lean into it - so cute! / I am a little sensitive to my paws being touched and I haven't wanted to be picked up yet. I have taken a few car rides since being with my foster and I did pretty good for the first 30 minutes, and then the last 10 minutes I decided I was done so I barked a little bit. • MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I have a grade 4/5 out of 6 heart murmur so I must stay on 2 heart medications that I take very easily with peanut butter, and a fish oil supplement. I should have a vet re-check in 6 months to see how things are coming along. I have moderate tartar on my teeth, so my adoptive family should consult with their vet and consider a dental in the future. I’m looking for a family to give all my love to that will take great care of me. Could that be you? My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
