My parents got Cruyff in 16' from a breeder. He's 7. End of 21' my parents got sick and diagnosed with different forms of cancer and were being treated with chemotherapy. Their oncologists said they should not be around animals and it was best to find Cruyff a new home. I tried to find family/friends posting about it and eventually my in laws said they would take him up to 6 months until we could purchase a home. They had 2 large dogs at the time too and knowing that Cruyff was protective and not so great with other dogs, it would be hard to last. We were renting in complex that doesn't allow dogs. 6 months turned into a year and a half until now. We couldn't afford a home. My in laws started to get sick also and were very weak not able to give Cruyff and all their dogs the care needed. No family/friends were able to take him in. I know the vet at AAA animal hospital and he suggested take him to OC Humane Society in Huntington Beach, CA and he would check on him daily until adopted.
