Practice Area: Tax - Controversy and Dispute Resolution,Tax - General, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 5 Years, A law firm in Salt Lake City is seeking a Mid- to Senior-level Tax Associate Attorney to advise clients on a broad range of corporate, partnership, and individual income tax matters in the context of transactions. The ideal candidate should have significant experience with a broad range of tax matters, particularly in tax credit transactions, and preferably possess experience and willingness to assist in sophisticated tax controversy matters. Duties:Provide legal counsel and advice to clients on corporate, partnership, and individual income tax matters.Assist clients with tax planning and structuring transactions to minimize tax liabilities.Handle tax credit transactions and provide guidance on related regulatory compliance.Assist in sophisticated tax controversy matters if needed.Conduct legal research and analysis on tax issues.Draft legal memoranda, opinions, and other tax-related documents.Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and regulatory authorities.Work collaboratively in a team environment to address client needs. Requirements:Significant experience with a broad range of tax matters.Experience and willingness to assist in sophisticated tax controversy matters preferred.Strong academic background with solid training in tax law.Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues proactively.LL.M. in Taxation is a plus. Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the State Bar. Skills:Excellent legal research, verbal communication, and writing skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Proficiency in tax planning and structuring transactions.Familiarity with tax credit transactions and regulatory compliance.Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
