Imagine our surprise to find this antique doll trunk occupied when we found it. This is a rare antique miniature doll trunk in amazing condition with a size of 10 " x 6 " and complete with a working lock latch, missing key not needed to operate lock, original insert tray, and all with a beautiful original lining. Its black color and prism like metal framing makes it a valuable top shelf addition to any collection. The trunk is an original piece from the early 20th century, specifically from the time period of 1911-1940. The riveted leather handles are original, one is in excellent condition and the other shows wear from being carried by little hands many decades ago.The little boy doll inside will remain with the trunk. We are not doll collectors and know little about this one. It is either ceramic or porcelain, with the head and both hands in nice condition. What appears to be a beautiful cotton and lace Christening gown with heavy detail makes up for the fact that the doll has no leg features. Notably, this steamer trunk is an authentic antique that will make any collector proud. It has additional parts that will make it even more functional.
