Bartholomew is a big, snuggly guy who is just 1 years old! He came to us after being abandoned at a church with all his belongings, but has been a happy boy here with us! A volunteer took him on an outing and said he did great in the car, with his big ole head just joyfully out the window. She stated he was easy to walk and hardly pulled at all on their trip! He is around 72 pounds of love, and though he may look and sound tough, he is just a big teddy bear! Come meet him at the shelter today!Adoption processPlease come in and visit with our pets available for adoption. Once you find an animal you would like to adopt, you will be asked to fill out an adoption survey and meet with an adoption counselor. We do require landlord approval and we do not adopt out animals to live completely outside. Our adoption fees are $75 for dogs and cats under 5 years old and $55 for those 5 years and older.Shelter locationTo visit pets please go to http://bloomington.in.gov/animal-shelter to fill out an adoption application and schedule a visit.
