I came in with a friend and have done really well at the shelter, but I'm ready for my forever home now. I would love a home that will show me the ropes in training and fun too. I can't wait to go on lots of adventures and share lots of couch cuddles too! I love treats and pup cups and exploring!FOSTER TESTIMONIAL: "Darla was so wonderful to hang out with! We went to Reverchon park and got to explore all new territories, which she loved! She heard live music on the Katy Trail in the distance and her ears perked up immediately and right away we had to find the source! A stream nearby? Perfect, let's jump right in! We spent some time at home, where she started to open up and explore more, though she did stick mostly by my side. She listens well, is very energetic and so sweet. She has a heart of gold, an explorer's soul, and a vibrant mind. I know she will be burst of light for some very lucky family!""She has a heart of gold, an explorer's soul, and a vibrant mind. It might take some time for her to get comfortable with others (more-so men), but when you get to see her open up, she's a burst of light! she did really well on the leash, pulls a little here and there, but only when she's super excited to get moving! Came back to the apartment, hung out for a bit longer, and by the end she was starting to roll on her back for her stomach to be pet, and it was so heart warming and amazing! Was so hard to take her back. I know she will be burst of light for some very lucky family!""She was so laid back during the car ride, then when we got to the park and the trail, she was so so happy. She didn't jump up on me at all and was just so happy jogging and being polite with passing people and doggos. We lay in the park for a bit and she seemed so peaceful and content to just watch the other doggos and people. I think she'd be great in a home with another dog or someone who can teach her the ropes. She lets her guard down and looks at you for guidance and all the love. She was becoming more and more affectionate as the day went on, even rolling on her back asking for belly scratches. She also plopped her head on my legs, and it melted my heart!"APPOINTMENT TYPE: Come and meet me any day 12PM - 6PM at 2400 Lone Star Dr. in Dallas!I'm also available for Foster-to-Adopt if you want to take me home before committing to fur-ever!Adoption processHours: Open Daily / 12 p.m.- 6 p.m.Animals are available by walk-in on a first-come, first-served basis.
