Xena is a 7 year old female mix weighing around 20 lbs who is housebroken/pee pad trained and crate trained. She originally came to us from Kentucky where she lost her home and ended up in a rural, overcrowded shelter. She was adopted and then came back again after her owner had an accident and can no longer properly care for this sweet, lost girl. Xena loves attention and being with her people as their lap dog. A new adopter will have to take things slowly with Xena, as her life has been flipped upside down and she has had so many changes in just a short amount of time. Because of this, we are not recommending small children, as they will not understand that she will be nervous initially. After Xena warms up to her people and trusts them, she is as loyal as they come! She is quite happy with one person and it does not need to be an active home. She would be best with someone who spends most of their time at home. She does not go after dogs, but dogs (especially when hyper) scare her and make her nervous, so we think she would do best as the only dog in the home. We have not had her around cats at this time, so cats are unknown.Xena's adoption fee is $150 which includes her spay , microchip, vaccinations and heartworm/lyme testing.
