OverviewSUMMARY Arcticom, LLC, is seeking an experienced Sr. Program Manager with experience leading complex software development projects and managing IT project schedules/milestones, deliverables, costs, and risks. The Sr. Program Manager fosters and maintains the day-to-day relationship with the government client by identifying their needs and evaluating alternative business solutions. The Sr. Program Manager leads, manages, and supervises all project personnel.ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESThe Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned. * Determine project roles of team members based on project requirements, timeframes, and budget. Define skill sets (competencies) required for the project based on project specifications and requirements. * Determine resource requirements (including staffing, software, hardware, and facilities) of projects, based on project specifications. * Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships. * Manage day-to-day client interaction. Set and manage client expectations. Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions. * Identify, track, manage and mitigate risk on specific client engagements. Escalate these issues when necessary to ensure minimal impact to quality, budget, and timeline. * Communicate progress, risks, expectations, timelines, milestones and other key project metrics to clients and team members. * Ensure compliance for team members with company policy, procedures, and guidelines. * Conduct periodic review of team member performance. * Manage, approve, and resolve timesheets issues. * Explain implications of changes to project scope and/or objectives to the client and to the project team. * Lead the team to prioritize signed off project work based on analysis of strategic importance, tasks outstanding, obstacles or barriers, budgets, resources, and deadlines. * Manage the client stakeholders, team members, or contract personnel to design a solution and establish associated project timelines and budgets that allow for the delivery of the most strategic functionality within the project constraints. * Establish and maintain a usable and well-communicated schedule for all phases of the project. * Manage scope creep through client change orders, internal change orders, phased delivery, or other methods to ensure projects deliver on timeline, scope, and budget expectations. * Evaluate all key project deliverables, as well as final product to ensure traceability of requirements, high quality, and client acceptance. * Plan and establish project schedule to incorporate design, development, testing, and deployment of software to support client request. * Provide status reporting, updates, and management briefings as required to support project planning and execution. * Ensure timely submission of quality deliverables.QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications (applies to both this section and KSAO's) * Bachelor's/Master's degree in one of the following: Business (Management or Finance) Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or Information Technology is preferred. * 10 years experience as a Project Manager in a technical environment is required. * 5 years experience with Agile development. * Current, active Department of Defense security clearance - SECRET level or higher - is required.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics * Ability to lead a cross-functional team. * Ability to lead in communicating project readiness. * Identify, prioritize and manage key challenges and risks of a given project. * Ability to analyze data to make decisions and comfortable gathering data yourself. * Ability to cut to the core of a problem, identify what needs to be done and work with the teams to complete work. * Ability to communicate and maintain relationships with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders and partners clearly and effectively.Preferred * Agile certification. * ITIL Level 4 certification preferred. * Marine Corps Logistics experience preferred. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES * Hires and supervises direct reports.ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results.
