To play an integral role in leading development efforts for our Academic Health Center? Can you leverage your contacts and development experience in the medical field to enable the University of Cincinnati to continue to be a premiere global university in health care? The Vice President for Development & Alumni Affairs for the Academic Health Center serves a critical role in not only providing leadership but also managing a Major Gifts portfolio. You will work closely with the President of the UC Foundation, the Vice President for Health Affairs of the University of Cincinnati and Dean of the College of Medicine to establish, implement and achieve the development goals based on the strategic plan to advance the Academic Health Center. This is an outstanding opportunity to make a difference at the University, the Foundation and the Greater Cincinnati area as a whole. As Vice President, you will own the leadership, planning, implementing and managing of the comprehensive Academic Health Center fundraising and alumni affairs staff and programs, and oversee development and alumni affairs staff and programs at the College of Allied Health Sciences, the College of Nursing, the James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy and the College of Medicine. The University of Cincinnati is recognized globally as a top medical school. This role can elevate that even higher. This is also an opportunity to engage and build relationships with our amazing alumni in support of our ongoing efforts. This role requires someone who can bring a balance of strong Major Gifts experience, along with solid management experience to set the course to achieve our goals in development and alumni relations. Bring that talent as well as: Bachelors degree, with an advanced degree preferred, and 10+ years of major gift development experience, preferably in an academic health center environment. A proven track record of success in personal solicitation of major gifts Significant experience in leading and managing a development program and staff Capital campaign experience and success with grateful patient fundraising, a plus Demonstrated ease in interacting with high-level individuals and exhibit excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills A willingness to attend evening and weekend activities and travel, as needed A commitment to and passion for the role of development in furthering the mission of the University of Cincinnati and the Academic Health Center is essential This is an incredible time at the University of Cincinnati Foundation.
