Hi! My name is Rapheal (Raphy for short) and I am a 1-2 yr old blue heeler x cattle dog mix. I was rescued from an overcrowded shelter in New Mexico just days before I was to be euthanized (simply because the shelter ran out of space). I am a stocky boy (not overweight, just big boned!). I can be a bit shy when I first meet you; but, with kindness, patience and some yummy treats you can win my trust and then I will be your shadow (like all good heelers). It takes me a minute to warm up to new/strange dogs; but, once I feel comfortable I love to play and wrestle. I've have met the cat in my foster home and I'm mostly afraid of her (although my foster mom things I am secretly plotting her demise). So, a home without cats would probably be best. Small/young kids make me nervous, so I would prefer a home without kids (or only older, dog savvy kids). I am house-broken and crate trained (although I don't need a crate. I'm very well-behaved when left alone in the house). I am neutered and up-to-date on my vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting me, please contact XXXX@herdinghaven.org
