Practice Area: Immigration - General,Asylum, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 3 Years, A law firm in Tampa, FL, seeks an Associate Attorney with 3+ years of litigation experience to lead a team in a high-volume immigration firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching and drafting responses to Requests for Evidence (RFE), Notices of Intent to Deny (NOID), and appellate briefs.Duties:Lead a team in researching and drafting responses to RFEs, NOIDs, and appellate briefs.Train a team of writers in written advocacy, research, and litigation skills.Train and oversee support specialists working with clients to provide additional evidence.Manage RFE response team to meet deadlines and improve response quality.Implement and track KPIs to manage high volumes of work.Track and identify trends in RFEs to improve processes.Analyze USCIS communications, including RFEs, NOIDs, and denials.Evaluate application materials and identify additional evidence.Train the team in legal and factual research.Review case submissions for attorney approval before submission.Requirements:Graduate of ABA-accredited law school.Bar admission to practice law in a US state or territory.3+ years of litigation experience with emphasis on written advocacy.Leadership/management experience.Ideally, 1+ year experience as an immigration attorney.Experience with various immigration applications is a plus.Substantial legal research and drafting experience.Bilingual (English and Spanish) skills are a plus.Appellate background or heavy experience in drafting dispositive motions briefs.Prior immigration experience is preferred.Education and Certifications:Graduate of ABA-accredited law school.Bar admission to practice law in a state or territory of the US.Skills:Strong written advocacy and litigation skills.Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.Proficiency in legal research and drafting.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Fluent in English; Spanish proficiency preferred.Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
