I am an 8.5-year-old beautiful brindle lady who is an owner surrender due to not getting along with the other dog in the home despite going to training and regular medication. Although I love people, but do not get along with dogs in my home, I need to be the only dog in the home for everyone’s safety. I’m described as friendly, active, smart, protective, playful, affectionate, and nervous. I’m a strong alpha female that knows “sit”, “stay”, “down”, and “speak”. It is said that I am very sweet and kind to kids! I grew up with three kids, but they have since moved to college. I have never lived with a cat so it’s unsure if I am feline friendly and a proper introduction would be needed. I am house trained but would need help with crate training if that is what is needed in my forever home. At night I sleep on a dog bed by the human’s bed and when they must be away and I am left alone I react fine. I will often sleep or play with my toys to occupy myself if alone. I guard the home and am happy to see the humans when they get home. When outside I have good behavior and do not dig or attempt to jump fences/gates. I’m not scared of things, but I do not like other dogs in my home, being apart from my family, or chaotic situations. Some of my favorite things are riding in the car, bones, playing fetch, running in the backyard, love & attention, and snuggling. My current owner says I am a “beautiful, healthy dog that absolutely loves people”.
