Pointer Mix Dog for Adoption in Mount Carmel, Illinois, 62863 USNickname: Rosie Posted Breed: Terrier / Pointer / Mixed (short coat). Rosie was brought in by a gentleman who found her running in the road. He didn't want her to get hit so she was brought into the shelter. She was very nervous when she was brought in, but warmed up quickly to the volunteers and all the love and reassurance given to her. She is still nervous about meeting someone new, but it doesn't take her long to go from scared to ready to cuddle. One of the volunteers sat with her and got her nails trimmed so this adorable girl would be more comfortable. She is around 1 year old. When she came into the shelter she weighed 43 lbs, but since arriving in January, she has gotten up to a healthy 52 lbs. She is very friendly with other dogs and ignores the cats. She didn't have any nervousness about meeting a new dog, and her tail was up and wagging immediately. She's a sweetheart that is ready for her forever home.
