You may be required to travel if approved for adoption. Help Scooby Find His Forever Home! Meet Scooby, a six-year-old bloodhound who has had quite a journey. Rescued from a pharmaceutical facility in Georgia at just six months old, he carries a tattoo in his ear that serves as a reminder of his early life. Getting him out of there was like a mission impossible, but we succeeded! Scooby experienced the joy of stepping on grass for the first time and found a loving family to call his own. Unfortunately, after 5 years, they faced a significant personal hardship, and Scooby had to be returned to the rescue. But this lovable goofball is ready to start a new chapter! All Scooby wants is some belly rubs and a lap to sit on. He's a big fan of long walks and would thrive in a home where he can get regular exercise. Being a bloodhound, he has lots of energy and would do best with someone who can provide him with a "job" to keep him engaged. Scooby gets along well with other dogs, but it's important to find a home with dogs that match his energy level. Due to his past experiences, he sometimes struggles with social cues and may overwhelm elderly dogs who prefer a more relaxed lifestyle. Currently, Scooby lives harmoniously with a 117-pound dog, a 60-pound dog, and a 7-pound dog. It's amusing to see him be afraid of his own shadow, even though he himself weighs 88 pounds! Our foster family has grown attached to him, but we believe there's a perfect forever home out there for Scooby. If you're looking for a loyal and playful companion, Scooby is your guy!
