I had a home, but unfortunately my previous owner’s health concerns were such that they were no longer able to give me the care and attention all doggies deserve, so Mostly Mutts agreed to help me find a new family to love. I got to spend some time in the prison/foster training program and learned a lot and now I’m ready to find my new family! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met some dogs recently at Mostly Mutts and I was interested, although I didn’t know how to play with them. Once they tried to play with me, I ran off. I seem to want to learn how to play, so I hope with more practice I will get the hang of it. If you have a nice dog at home that would be patient with me, let’s meet and see if we can be pals. / Cats unknown. / I liked the children I met at Mostly Mutts (age 10+) and my former family reported that I really liked kids too, so let’s meet if you have kids around that age and best not toddlers that I may bump over. I’m quite strong on my leash, so children should not walk me. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I am a sweet and friendly girl with an active but also gentle nature. Initially, I was afraid of the sprayer during my shelter bath, but I quickly relaxed when the rubs and petting started. Playful and affectionate, I look forward to lots of love and fun with my new family! I am very sensitive to change, so know that it will take me some time to feel safe and sound in my new home. This may include not eating for a few days too. / My energy level is pretty high at 8 – 9 in the prison/foster training program, so I’ll want a family that will be active with me! • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I’m a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program so I’ve learned the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘down’, ‘come’, ‘drop it’, ‘leave it’ and ‘place’ commands. I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping. / My crate manners have been good at Mostly Mutts, and I was reportedly crate trained in my former home. / My potty habits have been good on the shelter schedule and in my previous home, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home too. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I didn’t know what toys were, but I’m learning to enjoy them now! I’ve discovered that playing ‘tug of war’ with a rope toy is my favorite. I like being active with people, so a nice yard that we could enjoy together could be fun. I was known to dig in the yard of my previous home, so please don’t leave me out unattended. I also love to collect those awesome belly rubs! / Other than being sensitive to change, I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I’m currently taking medication to help me with some shelter stress. I may not need this in my new home, just ask about it. I am looking for a loving home with a great family!
