Dempsey is with our partner rescue in Louisiana but hoping to come to NJ on our next transport. We offer a foster-to-adopt trial for approved adopters. Dempsey is described as affectionate and likes to play. He was about to be euthanized when our partner rescue saved him. Dempsey had been at a poor, rural shelter with few resources and his only crime was the shelter was full of dogs. Dempsey is good with dogs and kind to kids. He hasn't been cat tested yet. He is working on housebreaking, crate training and leash training. Dempsey is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. He tested negative for heartworm. His adoption fee is $550. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption.
