American Pit Bull Terrier Mix Dog for Adoption in Augusta, West Virginia, 26704 USNickname: Patch Posted Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Well hello again, it’s me Patch. I am a neutered male Pit Bull mix, I am approximately 2-3 years old and I am up to date on vaccines. Once again I am looking for my forever home. I thought the word forever, meant just that, FOREVER. I guess not. You see, I was adopted on December 11, 2023 and due to no fault of my own was brought back to the shelter on January 1, 2024. Not even a month had gone by, so they didn’t even give me a chance. I tried my best to be a good boy and I thought that my new family was very happy with me. They even sent the ladies at the shelter an update on December 28, 2023 saying how good I was and how I was living my best life. They sent pictures of me sleeping in a warm home on a nice comfy sofa and pictures of me riding on the Side By Side, which I loved. I am so confused as to why they brought me back to the shelter and so are the ladies. The ladies here want everyone to know that it takes time, patience, lots of love, and understanding when a dog gets adopted from a shelter and goes into a home. It doesn’t just happen overnight. So I am now looking for a loving family who will take the time to teach me right from wrong and not just expect me to know. I came to the shelter from an awful situation where I was kept outside in a kennel all of the time, so I need guidance, patience and most of all, love.
