The ideal candidate will have a background in computer science, electrical engineering, or related fields, with a strong emphasis on drafting and patent prosecution.Duties:Draft patent applications and responses to office actions.Conduct patentability and freedom-to-operate searches and analyses.Communicate with clients, patent examiners, and colleagues regarding patent prosecution matters.Assist in the development and implementation of patent strategies.Requirements:2-6 years of legal experience.Experience with drafting and patent prosecution in intellectual property (IP) law.Background in computer science, electrical engineering, or similar.Design engineering experience with a chip company is a plus.Preference for candidates with experience in networking, software, 3G/4G/5G wireless networks, or related technologies.Admitted to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).Bar licensure in California is a plus.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Admission to the Bar in at least one state.Admission to the USPTO.Skills:Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.Proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documents.
